On May 13th, 2008, Army Specialist Steven Baskis lost his sight when an explosive device detonated next to his vehicle. His life would never be the same. But he didn’t let it stop him from following his passions. With help from Homes For Our Troops, an organization that supports severely injured veterans, Steven has found new ways to live as he’s always wanted to live. From climbing mountains to finishing a degree from Berkeley College of Music, Steven Baskis shows us that the human spirit is capable of overcoming and achieving anything.
